Paula Polyana is a Military Police officer in Brazil. Paula was with a group of other Military Police officers visiting a batallion for the protection of the enviroment. By good fortune, a collegue happened to be filming when Rebecca, a young female jaguar, jumped onto Paula's back...

Paula Polyana's group was undergoing training when they visited the aformentioned Environmental Police batallion in the state of Rodônia. They were given a tour of the unit to see what the Environmental Police do and how they work.

As part of their tour, explaining the work of the Enviromental Police in protecting animals at risk from extinction in Brazil such as jaguars, they were introduced to Rebecca, a young female jaguar.

It had been assumed that young Rebecca would be shy of such a large crowd of Police officers. Quite the contrary, Rebecca showed no fear, and posed for several pictures.

Rebecca also took a liking for the Police officers backpacks. In the video, just like a playful house cat, and not realizing its strength, it jumped onto Paula's back to grab her backpack. Fortunately for Paula, a colleague caught that moment on film.

That moment on film - priceless. (For everything else, there might be a credit card...)

Paula also says that the members of the Enviromental Police responsible for Rebecca at the time the video was shot(a unit called SGT PM RR Socorro) became emotional during the tour. The unit had raised Rebecca from the time it was a young cub. However, IBAMA, the agency responsible for wildlife management in Brazil, had informed that Environmental Police unit that they would have to give up Rebecca to the Rio Branco Zoo, in the state of Acre.
