Áwa Guajá (Awa Guaja) tribe women nurse wild animals. The Áwa Guajá is a tribe that lives in North East Brazil. The saying, "feeding nature so that nature can in turn feed you back" is a literal truth with the Áwa Guajá Indians. For example Áwa Guajá women will not hesitate to breastfeed orphan wild animals, including monkeys. But many of those wild animals might later turn to food (monkey meat is a delicacy among the Áwa Guajá Indians.) |
